If your book club or writers group is in Metro Detroit, don't miss your chance to schedule a visit.
Your club or group is not local? No problem. Shellie offers FaceTime, Zoom and Skype sessions, too!
Shellie is available to speak to you on a variety of topics. Here are just a few that she can speak on with your group:
God’s Pottery Skills
Sometimes falling apart is just an opportunity for God to show off his pottery skills. That revelation came to Shellie after reading Jeremiah 3:3-4, where the potter holds a marred clay vessel that he reshapes into another vessel. The potter represents a God who is not like the rest of us; he represents a God who wants to use us, even in our brokenness. Shellie uses this passage as part of an inspirational message of becoming the masterpiece God created you to be.
Faith of a Mustard Seed
Shellie tells the story of the struggle she and her husband faced when he lost his job just six months before their wedding, the challenges that followed, and the trials of becoming a first-time mom to a micropreemie who was born 16 weeks early. Audiences will get a very personal story of her faith walk.
When Shellie decided to write a book, the stars did not align, creating a perfect process. No one discovered her on Twitter and offered her a book contract that would allow her to quit her day job. In this speech, she shares the steps she took to becoming a writer, the challenges she faced, and the things she'd never ever do again.
The social butterfly in Shellie loves to meet new people. The writer in her has a thing for chatting it up on topics that evoke her passion. The two come together when she meets with organizations or groups to deliver a keynote address, provide an interview or discuss Broken Vessels.
